Series 640

Series 640 is suitable for the following types of applications:

Vertical: Hanging applications, standing applications
Horizontal: Unsupported applications ≤ 7 m, gliding applications ≤ 450 m
Circular movement: Rotating applications possible, may require machining (machining rework is always required from rotation angles of 180°)

Option 1: Separators and spacers
igus® separators should be fitted every 2nd chain link as standard!

Standard separator 6401 for e-chains® offers secure stability under load with its wide base, even for thick cables and hoses

Separators (e.g. "side-mounted" application) can be fixed in position by spacers 405.XX for e-chains®. The available inner height is reduced by 2mm for each spacer. To prevent this, parts can also be installed from the outside onto the opening crossbar (not on long travels) XX = width of spacer (choice of 10, 15, 20, 30, 40 mm)

The locking separator for e-chains® 6408 is used in applications with very high humidity, e.g. composting plants. The side notch is used to ensure the correct alignment of the separators - if they are misaligned, the e-chain® can only be opened by damaging the separators.

Option 2: Shelves When many cables with different diameters are used - e-chains® and e-tubes can be divided vertically and horizontally

Side plates 6002, middle plate 6403 and shelves 420.X allow flexible partitioning Shelves of various widths can be arranged in steps of 7mm on 15 levels

The open height slot separator 6405 which is open on one side, can be retrofitted without removing the existing interior separation system. For installing the open height slot separators, the top and bottom slots cannot be used for shelves

Rollclip – Minimises the abrasion of particularly sensitive hoses. Simply clamps onto the opening crossbar. The rollers compensate for movement between the hose and the e-chain®.

Guide troughs are used for applications where the upper run of the e-chain® glides on the lower run. When using the igus® guide trough made of steel, the following components are required. Guide trough without glide bars part no. 98.30, guide trough with glide bars part no. 98.31, assembly sets as butt connectors part no. 98.50. XX
.XX indicates the length of the C-profiles on which the guide trough will be mounted. The standard length of the trough parts and glide bars is 2m. The required length of guide trough is determined by the travel length.
